Brookside, The High Street, Burton Bradstock, Bridport, Dorset DT6 4RA

Directions by Car

Coming from Southampton take the M27 towards the West, then continue on the A31 towards Dorchester. As you approach Dorchester take the A35 towards Honiton which takes you into Bridport. Follow signs for Westbound Through Traffic until you reach a large roundabout where you take the first exit onto Burton Road - B3157, heading towards Abbotsbury.

Burton Bradstock is 3 minutes along this road. Brookside Cottage is on the left just after the 3 Horseshoes Inn.

By Train/Bus

A bus stop is located directly outside the cottage front gate where the new Jurassic Coast double decker bus stops, providing a scenic coastal cliff top link to Weymouth in around half an hour - and another half an hour on to Poole. Calling on the way at interesting tourist spots and local villages such as Abbotsbury. In the other direction the bus travels to Exeter calling at famous locations such as Lyme Regis.

From the same bus stop there are regular local services to West Bay and Bridport - calling in at Bridport Bus Station for other local bus connections and also cross country national coach services.

The nearest rail stations are Dorchester South and West Stations and Weymouth - the coastal bus service provides a link to Weymouth Station - and there is a regular direct link from Bridport to Dorchester South Station’s forecourt timed to connect with main line trains from London, Southampton and Bournemouth.

The fastest public transport link to the cottage is a train to Dorchester South then a taxi to Burton Bradstock - alternatively you could catch the direct bus link to Bridport and catch a local bus or taxi.

For a slightly longer more picturesque journey would be to stay on the train to Weymouth and take a short walk to the seafront and pick up the Jurassic Coast double decker direct to the cottage - rail travellers from the direction of Bath and South Wales should use this route.
